College Football Report

This is the first of my weekly reports in College Football, coming on Wednesday's this season.

-USC is still, and should be #1. Yes, my LSU Tigers looked good against Va. Tech; but the Trojans did not lose. I know the other rankings are different, but not if you are ranked at the top. USC is on top, and should not be penalized by an open date.

-Can you believe the hype ND & Michigan are getting? These are 0-2 teams for Christ's sake! I do not care if they have tradition or what not, where is the love for Syracuse? They are a historically winning program. They are also 0-2. I do not see the heads at ESPN mentioning the Orange at all

-Who are the most overrated teams? Louisville, Florida (WKU and Troy? Powers!), Hawaii (Barely beat a bad La Tech), Texas A&M, and Clemson. You guys have a LOT to prove. Florida and Clemson will soon, the rest, I am just not buying right now.

-Upset alerts: Louisville-beware of UK. The Cats are ready.

-Sure thing: USC over Nebraska. If the Trojans lose, pigs will fly. Besides, USC has Cal and Oregon looming next month.

-Conference power ratings:

1) SEC
1) Pac 10
3) Big East
4) ACC
5) Big 12
6) Big 10

USC, Cal, and UCLA and Oregon make Pac 10 move up. LSU is the class of the SEC, but Auburn losing to South Florida (4th best team in the Big East) causes the SEC to tumble. Big East has a strong Rutgers and S Florida, while the ACC took a big hit with Va Tech going down hard at LSU. The Big 12 made up some lost ground thanks to Oklahoma and Texas getting big wins. The Big 10 is REALLY down this year.

-Heisman List:

Darren McFadden, Ark
Pat White, WVU
Steve Slaton, WVU
John David Booty, USC
Colt Brennan, Hawaii
Ray Rice, Rutgers
